What Is Roof Life Extension?
Roof Life Extension is the customer-friendly name we use for asphalt shingle roof rejuvenation. As asphalt shingles age, they can lose oils that help keep them flexible. Our bio-based treatment is designed to replenish those oils in qualifying shingles and support flexibility and granule adhesion.
Roof Life Extension is not the same as roof cleaning. Roof cleaning removes algae, moss and surface staining. Roof rejuvenation is a separate treatment intended for selected aging-related properties of qualifying asphalt shingles. It does not repair active leaks, failed flashing, damaged roof decking or severe roof deterioration.
Does Your Roof Qualify?
Not every asphalt roof is a candidate for life extension. Qualification depends on the roof’s age, current shingle condition, visible deterioration, existing damage and the treatment manufacturer’s eligibility requirements. If rejuvenation is not appropriate for your roof, we will explain whether cleaning, repair or replacement is the more suitable next step.
How Our Roof Life Extension Process Works
Roof Assessment
We inspect the visible condition of the asphalt shingles and determine whether the roof meets the treatment and warranty requirements.
Roof Preparation
If required, the roof is cleaned and prepared before treatment. Any separate repair work is discussed before the service begins.
Rejuvenation Treatment
The bio-based treatment is applied to qualifying asphalt shingles according to the product’s application specifications.
Documentation and Warranty
After treatment, we explain the relevant maintenance requirements and provide written warranty documentation for qualifying roofs.
